Police in New Hampshire are actively searching for two unidentified suspects wanted in connection with the theft of a black Ford F-150 pickup truck. The incident began early Friday morning in Atkinson, where authorities reported a vehicle break-in and the subsequent theft of the truck from Pheasant Lane just after 1:30 a.m. Surveillance footage captured two individuals running in the area of Salem Road and Pheasant Lane following the reported crime. Later that afternoon, the Exeter Police Department responded to a report of a reckless driver on Route 101 eastbound near Exit 12 in Exeter. Officers were notified that the vehicle involved was the stolen truck from Atkinson. Shortly after, an officer located the abandoned vehicle on Hampton Road with no occupants inside. Witness information indicated the suspects had fled the area just before the vehicle was discovered, prompting a large-scale search operation. Exeter Police, assisted by the Hampton Police Department and K-9 units including BoBo, conducted extensive searches in the vicinity of Ashbrook Avenue, Wearner Lane in Hampton, and Phinney Lane in Exeter. Although one suspicious man was identified and cleared of involvement, the primary suspects remain at large. Atkinson Police Chief Tim Crowley has urged the public to review personal security camera footage, such as Ring cameras, to help identify the individuals and their direction of travel. The stolen vehicle has since been recovered and returned to its owner, and officials state there is no ongoing threat to the general public. The investigation remains active, and authorities are seeking information from the community. Anyone with knowledge regarding the whereabouts of the suspects or details about the incident is encouraged to contact the Exeter Police Department directly.
