Deputies are investigating the area near the Right Hand Fork of the canyon, where unauthorized individuals allegedly gained access to heavy machinery from a nearby construction site. According to law enforcement, a front loader was used to push two portable traffic control lights down an embankment and into the river. Each of these specialized lights, equipped with solar panel arrays, is valued at more than $30,000. Additionally, an excavator was operated without authorization further up the canyon to knock down a significant number of trees.
