A 68-year-old woman was violently assaulted during a purse robbery in the Bronx on April 18. The suspect, a woman, approached the victim near 360 East Fordham Road in Fordham Heights at approximately 6:48 p.m., punched her multiple times in the face, and stole two purses before fleeing eastbound on foot toward Webster Avenue. The victim declined medical attention at the scene. NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect on May 14 and urges the public to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS with any information. The suspect remains at large, and investigators are seeking details to identify and locate her. No arrests have been made in the case.
