Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) are actively searching for 30-year-old DeAndre Morgan, who is currently at large and wanted in connection with a serious break-in incident at an off-campus apartment complex near Marquette University. Morgan is accused of breaking into a residence on August 2 by smashing a first-floor window with a rock while two Marquette University students were sleeping inside. During the incident, the victims called 911 and escaped by jumping out of their window. Upon arrival, officers discovered a rock and broken glass in the bedroom and located Morgan on the second floor with a blue shopping bag containing the students' stolen belongings. Although Morgan was initially charged with misdemeanors and released on a signature bond, prosecutors upgraded his charges to multiple felonies after reviewing additional evidence. A new arrest warrant was issued on August 21. Morgan has a documented criminal history, including a 2023 conviction for armed robbery and use of force. He is not currently listed in custody. Police urge anyone with information regarding Morgan's location to contact the Milwaukee Police Department immediately.
