Kansas City Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a series of business break-ins that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. The suspect is believed to have targeted three separate businesses located near the intersection of Gregory Boulevard and Oak Street. Surveillance video obtained by local media captures the individual entering City Barrel Pizza and Patio, where he forcibly ripped and broke through lock mechanisms to gain entry. The suspect, described as wearing Kelly green athletic pants, a red hoodie with a distinctive print, and over-the-ear headphones, is seen using his cell phone light to navigate the premises. He proceeded to the kitchen and bar area before the alarm triggered at 5:15 a.m. During the incident, the suspect pulled the cash register from the wall, though he reportedly only managed to take approximately 75 cents. The register was later found discarded in a parking lot a block away. In addition to City Barrel, the suspect is accused of breaking into neighboring businesses, including the floral shop Bramble and Stem and the artists' co-op Eclectics. Police have released images of the suspect and are urging the public to assist in the investigation. City Barrel owner Joe Giammanco expressed frustration over the repeated incidents but emphasized the resilience of the local business community. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or whereabouts to contact the Kansas City Police Department's Metro Property Crimes unit.
