Authorities in Kernersville, North Carolina, are actively searching for Logan Milstead, who is wanted in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred on August 17. The suspect is currently at large after his vehicle, a red Honda Accord, was discovered submerged in Belews Creek on Friday by a fisherman near a boat launch on the 8600 block of Belews Creek Road. Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and assisted in recovering the vehicle, but no individuals were found inside or in the immediate vicinity of the car. Kernersville Police Department investigators examined the recovered automobile and confirmed it was the vehicle involved in the earlier crash. The incident took place around 1:40 p.m. on the 700 block of Piney Grove Road, where the Honda left the roadway and came to rest in a wooded area. Two men inside the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital by Forsyth County EMS. Prior to the crash, the vehicle also sideswiped a privately owned activity bus, though no passengers were aboard the bus at the time. Milstead has been charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses, including two counts of hit-and-run with injury, altering or destroying criminal evidence, obstructing justice, driving with a revoked license, and operating a vehicle without liability insurance. The investigation remains ongoing.
