The Delaware State Police are actively seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and attempted robbery that took place in Seaford, Delaware. The suspect is identified as 22-year-old Arturo Morgado-Sanchez, a resident of Greenwood. Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Morgado-Sanchez following an incident that occurred on the evening of Friday, August 21, 2026. According to law enforcement reports, troopers responded to TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital around 9:30 p.m. to treat a 26-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. Authorities have characterized the injury as non-life-threatening. The preliminary investigation indicates that approximately one hour prior to the hospital arrival, the victim was walking along Brickyard Road near the Mobile Gardens community in Seaford. At that time, a truck stopped behind the victim. The suspect, who was identified by the victim as Morgado-Sanchez, allegedly exited the vehicle, demanded the victim's property, and discharged a firearm. Following the shooting, the victim was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. The incident remains under active investigation.
