New York City Police have released surveillance footage identifying two suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old teenager in Brooklyn. The incident occurred on August 19 at approximately 8:23 p.m. outside Hakim’s Restaurant, located at 514 New Lots Avenue. According to police reports, the two individuals, described as young people wearing hoodies and face masks, were seen standing on the sidewalk before opening fire on the establishment. Sources indicate that at least 12 shots were fired into the eatery before the gunmen fled the scene. Ahmir Jordan, 17, was inside the restaurant at the time and was struck in the head by a bullet, resulting in his death at the scene. Additionally, a 35-year-old restaurant patron sustained a laceration after attempting to flee and colliding with a glass shelf. Authorities have not yet determined if Jordan was the intended target, noting that he has no criminal record. While sources suggest the shooting may be gang-related, the motive remains under investigation. Police are urging the public to review the released images and come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.
