The suspect vehicle briefly pulled over before fleeing northbound on Crain Highway. Officers lost sight of the car near Substation Road but later located it in the southbound lanes just north of McKendree Road, where it had crashed into two vans. The collision resulted in multiple injuries. Two occupants of the suspect vehicle were injured, with one reported in critical condition. One occupant from a van was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, while occupants of the second van sustained minor injuries. Due to the severity of the crash, Maryland State Police helicopters Trooper 7 and Trooper 2 transported two patients to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division and Maryland State Police are investigating the crash as required by state law because it followed a police pursuit.
