District Attorney Larry Krasner, alongside law enforcement partners including Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit Staff Inspector Ernest Ransom, held a news conference on Wednesday to highlight nine fugitives currently at large and wanted in connection with homicides in Philadelphia. The suspects are sought for murders committed in Northwest and South Philadelphia between 2020 and 2026, with all victims killed in shootings. The nine individuals highlighted include Christopher Coward, wanted for the May 2026 murder of Kenneth Singleton in East Mount Airy; Isaac King-Payton, linked to the February 2024 shooting of Tommere Coker-Ruffin; and Jacque Houston, accused of killing his father Michael Houston in March 2023. Also sought are Jahylin Melcher, wanted for three shootings in Hunting Park earlier this year, including two fatalities targeting the LGBTQ+ community; Leshaun Spruell, accused of killing a man on West Clementine Street in August 2026; Michael Reaves, wanted for the September 2025 murder of Khalil Ford; Robert Laurie, sought for a November 2020 fatal shooting on West Queen Lane; Shariff Perry, wanted for the August 2026 double shooting of Michelle Wilson and her husband; and Abdul Hines, arrested in connection with a May 2026 deadly shooting. Officials note there are 42 people with active fugitive arrest warrants in Philadelphia.
