The New York Police Department is actively searching for a suspect responsible for a violent assault that left a 67-year-old man with serious injuries in Queens. The incident occurred last Friday, approximately around 6:30 p.m., at the intersection of 82nd Street and 34th Avenue in the Jackson Heights neighborhood. According to police reports, the suspect, described as a shirtless male, was engaged in an argument with the victim when he allegedly became irate. During the altercation, the suspect pushed the elderly man, causing him to fall to the ground. The impact resulted in significant injuries, including lacerations to the head, elbows, and knees, as well as a fractured wrist. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is currently being treated in stable condition. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Authorities state that he was last seen heading eastbound on 34th Avenue. The NYPD has issued an appeal for public assistance in locating the individual.
