The Shreveport Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for Wesley Carl Blevins and Phoebe Rosemary Bentley in connection with a cellphone theft incident that occurred on August 6, 2026. The alleged crime took place at the Uptown Cheapskate store located on Line Avenue in Shreveport. According to police reports, Blevins and Bentley were present at the store counter while employees were sorting through clothing donations. Surveillance video allegedly captured Blevins picking up an Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max and handing it to Bentley, who then placed the device in her pocket and exited the business. Employees were able to identify Blevins through the store’s customer rewards account, which allowed detectives to confirm his identity. Blevins faces charges of theft as a habitual offender, a designation resulting from two prior theft convictions in Shreveport. Additionally, he was already out on bond at the time of this incident regarding multiple alleged package thefts that occurred earlier in the year. Bentley is also wanted for theft. The Shreveport Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in locating both individuals. Authorities have asked anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Wesley Carl Blevins or Phoebe Rosemary Bentley to contact the Shreveport Police Department immediately. This case remains open as the suspects are currently at large.
