The incident occurred on Sunday, August 23, at approximately 9:25 p.m. in front of an auto shop located at 220-20 Merrick Blvd. in Laurelton. According to authorities, the victim was approached by the suspect, who stabbed him multiple times in the torso, abdomen, and back. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Emergency Medical Services transported Scott to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
