The FBI has announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Jesus Acosta, a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with two separate fatal shootings in New York City. Acosta is accused of killing two individuals during armed robberies in the Bronx and Brooklyn boroughs. The first incident occurred early Sunday morning at American Best Wings & Pizza in the Brownsville neighborhood, where Acosta allegedly entered the closed establishment and shot 30-year-old Md Yousof in the head. Yousof, a restaurant worker and sole provider for his family in Bangladesh, died from his injuries. The suspect also stole the week's sales from the business. The second incident took place on Tuesday at a bodega in the Bronx, where Acosta is accused of shooting 29-year-old Trayvon Shuler in the chest during a robbery. Shuler subsequently died from his wounds. Police describe Acosta as a suspect who remains at large, prompting concerns among residents in the affected communities. In addition to the federal reward, the United Bodegas of America has contributed an additional $10,000 to the reward fund. The NYPD is actively investigating the cases and has urged anyone with information regarding Acosta's whereabouts to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline. The community has expressed frustration and grief over the violence, with friends and family of the victims highlighting the loss of life and the impact on the victims' loved ones.
