Philadelphia police are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in North Philadelphia. The incident took place on August 5, 2024, outside a corner store located at the intersection of Rising Sun Avenue and Goodman Street. On that morning, at approximately 2:51 a.m., authorities discovered 60-year-old Marvin Wicker suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso and leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he subsequently died from his injuries. To aid in the investigation, police have released surveillance video footage capturing the suspect. The individual is described as having a medium build and facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was observed wearing a camouflage bucket hat and riding a ten-speed bicycle. According to law enforcement, the suspect was last seen fleeing the scene on the bicycle in the 1100 block of Westmoreland Street, heading toward Germantown Avenue. The City of Philadelphia has offered a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction, consistent with their policy for all homicide cases.
