Queens detectives are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of 33-year-old Jose Scott. The incident occurred on Sunday night, August 23, at approximately 9:45 p.m., in front of an auto repair shop located at 220-20 Merrick Blvd. in Laurelton. According to law enforcement sources, the suspect approached Scott and stabbed him multiple times in the torso, abdomen, and back. Despite the rapid response of officers from the 116th Precinct following a 911 call reporting an assault in progress, the attacker managed to flee the scene on foot before authorities could apprehend him. Emergency medical services transported Scott to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. Police released surveillance photographs and video footage of the suspect on Thursday, emphasizing that he remains at large. The individual was last seen wearing a gray shirt, green pants, and red slippers.
