The male victim sustained 15 stab wounds, including critical injuries to his neck, chest, and eye, requiring emergency surgery and leaving him in critical condition. The female victim also suffered multiple stab wounds to her head and arms, necessitating emergency facial reconstruction surgery. The victim stated that McDaniel had been staying at the home after being picked up from treatment about a week prior. After spending a few days with friends in Minneapolis, the female victim brought McDaniel back to the Coon Rapids home on Wednesday. She reported waking up to find McDaniel stabbing the male victim with a steak knife, after which he began attacking her as well. McDaniel fled the scene in the female victim's Chevy Equinox, which was later discovered abandoned in Minneapolis on Thursday. As of the latest report, law enforcement has not located McDaniel, and a warrant remains active for his arrest.
