Socorro police investigators are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for an armed robbery that occurred earlier this year. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 to 25 years old, with dark hair, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and possessing a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, an orange Denver Broncos jersey with the number 94, and a blue face covering that obscured the lower portion of his face. The incident took place on the early morning of April 24, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m. MT. The robbery occurred at the Murphy USA gas station located at 10261 Alameda Avenue, near Rio Vista Road in Socorro, Texas, situated in front of the Walmart Neighborhood Market. According to Socorro Police Detective Robert Gandara, the suspect initially approached the counter to purchase gas. He returned moments later, brandished a black handgun equipped with an extended ammo clip, and demanded money from the cash register. Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a black, two-door vehicle. The unsolved case has been designated as Crime Stoppers of El Paso's Crime of the Week. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identity of the individual known as the Broncos robber to come forward.
