Martinsville Police are actively searching for 24-year-old Levi Camplin, who is considered armed and dangerous following a deadly shooting incident in Martinsville, Indiana. The investigation began late Saturday night when Morgan County Dispatch received reports of three individuals shot near the 200 block of North Park Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders, including Morgan County EMS and Martinsville Fire Department personnel, provided life-saving measures before transporting the victims to local hospitals. A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital, while a 35-year-old woman remains in stable condition. The identity of the deceased male victim is pending release by the Morgan County Coroner's Office, and his next of kin have been notified. Camplin is the primary person of interest in the case. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a yellow Dodge Dakota, which was subsequently located abandoned by authorities. Despite the vehicle's recovery, Camplin remains at large. Police have issued a public warning urging citizens not to approach the suspect and to call 911 immediately if he is spotted. This incident marks a significant escalation for Camplin, who was previously identified as a person of interest in a separate shooting on Christmas Eve 2020. That earlier incident resulted in the deaths of two teenagers at a Circle K and the injury of an 18-year-old, though Camplin was never charged in connection with that crime.
