Despite the response of officers to the scene, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. Zaelyn Smith is currently at large and is considered armed and dangerous by law enforcement. He faces active warrants for his arrest, including two counts of first-degree murder, as well as additional charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a minor. The West Memphis Police Department issued a public alert on Monday morning urging residents to remain vigilant and to report any information regarding the suspect's whereabouts. The investigation is ongoing, and police are emphasizing the critical need for community assistance in locating Smith.
