Shreveport Police Department detectives are continuing their search for Wesley Carl Blevins, who remains at large following a theft incident at Uptown Cheapskate located on Line Avenue. While co-suspect Phoebe Rosemary Bentley has been arrested, Blevins is still wanted in connection with the alleged theft of an employee’s cellphone. The incident occurred on August 6, 2026, when investigators stated that Blevins and Bentley were standing at the counter while employees sorted through clothing. Surveillance video allegedly captured Blevins picking up an Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max and handing it to Bentley, who then placed the device in her pocket and exited the business. Employees identified Blevins through the store’s customer rewards account, allowing detectives to confirm his identity. Blevins faces charges of theft as a habitual offender, a designation stemming from two prior theft convictions in Shreveport. Additionally, he was already out on bond in connection with multiple alleged package thefts that occurred earlier this year. Bentley was also wanted for theft but has since been taken into custody. The Shreveport Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Wesley Carl Blevins to contact the department immediately. Tips can be provided to help locate the suspect and bring him into custody. The investigation remains active as authorities work to apprehend the remaining wanted individual.
