Manchester Police are searching for an unidentified suspect who remains at large following a violent stabbing incident that occurred on Sunday night, August 30, 2026. The attack took place around 10:45 p.m. along the rail trail located behind the DMV Plaza at 377 South Willow Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Responding officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound to his left arm near the entrance to the trail. According to police reports, the victim was sitting on a bench when an unknown male approached him. Although the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect followed him, leading to a physical altercation during which the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Due to the sudden nature of the encounter, the victim was unable to provide a physical description of the attacker. Upon arrival, law enforcement established a perimeter and deployed a K-9 unit to track the suspect through the area, but these efforts were unsuccessful in locating the individual.
