A $30,000 reward is currently being offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant Connor Overstreet. The incident occurred on August 23 in the unincorporated area of Skyway, located in King County, Washington. According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of 124th Street and South Langston in the early morning hours. Upon arrival, emergency responders attempted life-saving measures on Overstreet, who had been struck by a single gunshot wound in the middle of the road. Despite these efforts, Overstreet succumbed to his injuries. To assist in the ongoing homicide investigation, Crime Stoppers and Overstreet’s family established a combined reward fund. Crime Stoppers contributed the standard $1,000 for homicide cases, while Overstreet’s family added $29,000, bringing the total incentive to $30,000. Additionally, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the case. Local residents have expressed fear and concern for their safety, noting that the shooter remains at large. Several neighbors reported hearing a single loud gunshot on the morning of the incident. One resident, who requested anonymity, described the sound as a 'big boom' and noted that emergency personnel, including fire trucks and police, arrived within ten minutes. Another neighbor, Gerald, confirmed hearing only one shot and reported seeing three white men riding a scooter in the area near the time of the shooting. These individuals were observed yelling but their target was unknown. Due to the severity of the violence in the area, several witnesses declined to provide their full names to media outlets. The King County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the homicide and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
