The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a male suspect who robbed a Chevron gas station at knifepoint in Hawthorne on Sunday night. The suspect, described as wearing all black clothing, a mask, and gray gloves, entered the store after 10 p.m., jumped over the counter, assaulted an employee, and stole a large amount of cash before fleeing north. Detectives believe the incident is unrelated to a separate armed robbery at a Circle K on May 10. The suspect remains at large. Anyone with information is urged to contact ACSO Detective J.
