Surveillance footage obtained by News 12 captures the incident, which took place around 9:45 a.m. near the Brighton Beach subway station. The video shows a male suspect rushing out of the station and immediately grabbing an item full of trash, which he then threw at a 90-year-old woman standing on the sidewalk. Following the initial attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Bystanders and residents were observed walking over to assist the victim immediately after the suspect departed. The elderly woman was transported to a local hospital following the incident. According to police reports, she is currently in stable condition. Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect, nor have they made an arrest. The NYPD is urging anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who has information regarding the identity of the man to come forward.
