According to the Abington Police Department, the Uber driver was flagged down by two male subjects who allegedly displayed a knife and demanded money. The suspects fled the scene on foot after taking approximately $450 from the driver. Fortunately, the driver was not injured during the encounter. The suspects are described as two Black males wearing face coverings to conceal their identities. One suspect was reportedly wearing a black sweater, while the second individual was dressed in a dark blue hooded sweatshirt. Responders were unable to locate the suspects at the scene immediately following the report. The Abington Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Brockton Avenue near the Abington/Brockton town line during the early morning hours to come forward. Residents and businesses in the vicinity are also asked to review any available exterior camera footage, including doorbell camera recordings, from around the time of the incident to assist investigators.
