The Fresno Police Department is currently seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on August 27, 2026. The incident took place at a business located near the intersection of Kings Canyon Road and Clovis Avenue in Fresno, California. According to police reports, the suspect entered the establishment and was observed tampering with a locking cord near the rear exit gate. An employee noticed the suspicious activity and alerted a coworker, who approached the individual to confront him. Upon being confronted, the suspect was seen holding a hatchet that belonged to the business. He allegedly commanded the employee not to approach him. As the employee attempted to block the suspect's exit, the suspect pushed the employee with his arm and fled the scene. The suspect escaped with a bag of merchandise and the hatchet. The Fresno Police Department has classified this as a robbery involving a weapon and is actively looking for the individual. Authorities have not yet released a specific name, age, or detailed physical description of the suspect in the initial report.
