Portland Police have identified a lone surviving suspect in the 2006 disappearance and presumed murder of Miguel Oliveras, a 24-year-old man from Boston. Oliveras was last seen on the night of September 2, 2006, leaving the Platinum Plus Club, now known as Rick's Cabaret, located at 200 Riverside Street in Portland, Maine. Authorities believe Oliveras was killed and his body was dumped, though his remains have never been recovered. Police Lt. Nicholas Goodman stated that investigators have identified three persons of interest in the case; two are deceased, but one remains at large. This surviving suspect has retained legal counsel. The investigation has intensified recently, with detectives conducting searches on private property in the Old Orchard Beach area, including 55 acres of land near Ross Road owned by resident John Kerry. While police have not confirmed plans to search this specific location again, they intend to utilize advanced equipment such as ground-penetrating radar and sonar in future efforts. Oliveras' mother, Myrna Gonzalez, has made public pleas for information, seeking closure and the ability to give her son a proper burial. The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to Oliveras' whereabouts to $25,000.
