Clarence Rogers, a 46-year-old man, is currently wanted by federal authorities on a supervised release violation stemming from a 2010 conviction for second-degree rape. The U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search for Rogers, who was released from custody in September 2025 after serving approximately 15 and a half years of a 20-year sentence. He is wanted for failing to properly register as a sex offender and for violating the terms of his supervised release. The underlying crime occurred on February 10, 2010, in Baltimore County, Maryland. According to court documents, the victim reported that she fell asleep on a Metro train and was awakened by staff at the Owings Mills stop. As she walked along Painters Mill Road near the I-795 overpass, she was attacked by Rogers. The suspect shoved her face into a creek in the ravine, punched her repeatedly in the head, and raped her before fleeing the scene. The victim managed to walk back to the Metro Station and contact 911. Investigators followed footprints in the snow and eventually apprehended Rogers, who initially provided false identifying information, claiming to be a different person. Rogers, who also goes by the alias Clarence Jones, was convicted seven months after the incident. He is known to have a prior drug conviction from 2002. Following his release in 2025, Rogers was required to register as a sex offender and report to the Baltimore Rescue Mission. He failed to do so and has not been seen since. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding his whereabouts.
