Chicago police are investigating two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred early Friday morning in downtown Chicago, resulting in the identification of four suspects who remain at large. The first incident took place at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 600-block of West Van Buren Street within the West Loop neighborhood. According to the Chicago Police Department, a 28-year-old man was exiting a business when a white sedan carrying four suspects pulled up alongside him. One of the individuals brandished a firearm and demanded the victim's personal belongings. The victim complied with the demands, and the suspects subsequently fled the scene by driving west on Van Buren Street. Approximately 90 minutes later, a second robbery occurred in the River North area. At this location, situated in the 400-block of North LaSalle Drive, a 26-year-old man was approached by four suspects while standing outside. The suspects physically assaulted the victim by kicking him and implied the presence of a weapon while demanding his possessions. The victim again complied, and the suspects escaped in a silver sedan, driving north. No injuries were reported in either incident. Area Three detectives are currently leading the investigation into these crimes. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any information that could assist in identifying or locating the four suspects involved in these robberies. The investigation is ongoing, and police are reviewing surveillance footage and gathering witness statements to build a case against the individuals responsible for these violent crimes.
