Cedillo is described as a man with brown eyes and black hair, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He is currently at large and is believed to be the suspect in the fatal assault of his ex-girlfriend. The incident occurred on the 14100 block of Brighton Avenue in Poway, California, shortly before 3 a.m. on August 11. Authorities allege that Cedillo forced entry into the victim's home and attacked her with a hammer, inflicting severe trauma. Following the attack, Cedillo fled the scene before deputies arrived. Paramedics transported Gonzalez Martinez to a hospital where she was admitted in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday, September 4, 2026, leading to the upgrade of the investigation from domestic assault to murder. Investigators note that Cedillo is known to frequent various parts of the San Diego area, Los Angeles County, and Mexico, raising concerns that he may have fled across the border.
