Montana law enforcement officials are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating a specific pickup truck and its driver following a fatal hit-and-run incident in Billings. The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred on Thursday morning at approximately 2 a.m. at the intersection of Broadwater Avenue and Third Street West. Authorities are specifically looking for a white 2010–2018 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 pickup truck. The investigation reveals a complex series of collisions involving multiple vehicles. Initially, a Billings Police Department cruiser collided with a Ford F-150 at the same intersection. The force of this initial impact ejected the driver of the Ford from his vehicle. While the victim from the Ford was lying injured in the roadway, the white Dodge Ram struck the pedestrian and subsequently fled the scene without stopping. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. The intersection remained closed for approximately five hours as the Billings Police Department’s Crash Investigations Team and the Montana Highway Patrol worked to process the scene.
