According to deputies, the incident began when the driver honked at the teenager, who was illegally operating an electric dirt bike along with two younger children aged 12 and 10. The driver then pursued the group up Roosevelt Street to a nearby field. Investigators note that skid marks at the scene suggest a chase occurred, and they believe the children jumped a curb to escape the vehicle. Captain Nate Kovarik of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office emphasized that witnessing a traffic infraction does not justify vigilantism or aggressive behavior. Authorities are utilizing various resources to locate the suspect, including reviewing footage from a Flock camera located at the intersection of 204th and Harrison.
