New York City police are actively searching for suspects following a series of violent stabbings that occurred in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn on the morning of Monday, September 7, 2026. The incidents took place just hours before the start of the annual West Indian Day Parade, a major cultural celebration in the area. According to the NYPD, the violence unfolded in two separate clusters of attacks within a thirty-minute window. At approximately 5:48 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Carroll Street and Utica Avenue, where they discovered a 23-year-old man stabbed in the neck and a 36-year-old man stabbed in the face. Shortly thereafter, at around 6:12 a.m., police located a 32-year-old man with a neck injury near Utica Avenue and President Street. All three initial victims were transported to Kings County Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition with expectations of survival. A fourth victim, a 20-year-old man, later arrived at Kings County Hospital presenting with a slash wound to the chin. Separately, a 25-year-old man was slashed in the face near Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Avenue at approximately 6:00 a.m. and was transported to Interfaith Medical Center by private vehicle, where he remains in stable condition. Investigators are currently hunting for two separate suspects. One suspect is described as having been last seen wearing gray jeans and a dark T-shirt before fleeing in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made as of the time of reporting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
