Boise Police are actively searching for an unidentified suspect following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred early Monday morning. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. in the 6000 block of North Duncan Lane in Boise, Idaho. According to law enforcement reports, Boise Police, Boise Fire Department, and Ada County Paramedics responded to calls regarding a person who had been stabbed. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an adult male victim lying on the front porch of a large house. Witnesses and individuals leaving the property reported that an altercation had taken place on the porch, which resulted in the victim sustaining stab wounds. Despite the immediate efforts of first responders to provide life-saving care, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The Ada County Coroner is currently working to identify the deceased and will notify the next of kin. At this time, the suspect remains at large and has not been located by investigators. Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit detectives are urging anyone who was present at the residence before or during the incident, particularly those who may have left the scene prior to speaking with officers, to come forward. Authorities are conducting an active search of the surrounding area for additional witnesses and crucial information.
