The incident took place at approximately 2:40 PM near the intersection of 2nd Street and Marquette Avenue NW. Upon arrival, officers discovered a single victim who had been shot. The individual was found in extremely critical condition and received emergency medical aid from personnel at Albuquerque Fire Rescue; however, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The suspect fled the area immediately following the shooting. Later that night, another man was fatally shot near a Chase Bank at Coors and Central, with two suspects reportedly seen fleeing that scene. Violence continued into Friday with a stabbing and robbery near San Mateo and Prospect.
