An unidentified man is being sought by Rio Grande City police after attempting to break into Starr Barbecue on Monday. Surveillance video showed the suspect firing a pellet gun at the restaurant entrance, damaging property, and throwing a cinderblock through the drive-thru window. The suspect, who has a history of burglaries and thefts, was seen carrying a rifle-like object while ransacking a shed behind the business but did not steal any items. Starr Barbecue owner Mario Gonzalez reported $1,200 in damages and plans to install additional security cameras. Police Chief Jose Solis confirmed no arrests have been made and urged residents to remain vigilant.
