The New York City Police Department is actively seeking four unidentified suspects wanted in connection with a violent gang assault that occurred in Rockaway Beach, Queens. The incident took place on the evening of Sunday, August 30, around 7:30 p.m., near the intersection of 86-05 Rockaway Beach Boulevard. According to police reports, a 23-year-old male victim was walking in the area when he was confronted by a group of four individuals. A verbal dispute quickly escalated into a physical altercation, during which the assailants punched and kicked the victim. One of the attackers then brandished a knife, slashing the victim across the back of his neck and shoulder blade. Following the attack, three of the suspects fled on foot toward the Hammel Houses, while the fourth suspect escaped on a motorized scooter traveling eastbound on Rockaway Beach Boulevard into the NYCHA complex. The victim sustained severe lacerations and was transported by emergency medical services to One Brooklyn Health-Brooklyn University Hospital Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The NYPD’s 100th Precinct has released surveillance images of the four suspects. They are described as having dark complexions. Specific descriptions include one suspect with a thin build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans, black sneakers, and a black baseball cap. Another suspect, identified as the scooter rider, is older with a beard and mustache, wearing a black T-shirt with a white graphic. The third man wore a white T-shirt, black shorts, and gray sneakers, while the fourth suspect was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt over a white T-shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black baseball cap.
