The Federal Bureau of Investigation has doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of Ronald Scott Watson, who is currently wanted on federal charges of arson and destruction of government property. Watson is accused of participating in a violent attack on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility located in downtown Atlanta. The incident occurred on July 25, 2020, when a crowd gathered outside the building shortly before midnight. According to the FBI, several masked individuals breached the security fencing and vandalized the structure using rocks, cinder blocks, modified fireworks, lighter fluid bottles, and Molotov cocktails. The attack resulted in more than $78,000 in damage. Investigators noted that blood was found near a broken window and a lighter fluid bottle was discovered near an unexploded Molotov cocktail inside the facility. Watson was identified through evidence collected following his January 2023 felony conviction for assaulting a public safety officer in Oregon. Prior to the attack, officials state that Watson posted anti-ICE messages on social media, including images depicting violence against agents, and claimed online to have thrown bricks and engaged in other acts. Watson has ties to Atlanta and Portland, Oregon, and may also frequent Montana, Wyoming, Washington, and California. Investigators believe he may have altered his appearance and could be dressing in women’s clothing. Watson has also used the aliases Sarah Watson, Miranda Kyle, and Emily Smith and remains a fugitive. The reward was previously set at $10,000 when charges were unsealed in September 2025 and has now been increased to $20,000.
