Authorities in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, are actively searching for Kio Manuel Dejesus-Pena, a 42-year-old man wanted in connection with a violent shooting incident that occurred on the early morning of September 5. Dejesus-Pena is currently at large and has been charged with five counts of attempted homicide, along with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault. The incident began around 3:45 a.m. at the Major League Bottle Shop, where police discovered bullet-riddled vehicles and shattered glass upon their arrival. According to law enforcement, an argument had erupted among several individuals inside the establishment. Dejesus-Pena reportedly left the bar and waited outside until five people exited the building. He then moved between two nearby homes to retrieve a firearm and proceeded to the 200 block of Logan Street, where he allegedly fired 21 shots at the group as they entered their vehicle. The victims were struck by five rounds in the doors and glass of their car before they managed to drive away. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound but did not realize they had been shot until later. Dejesus-Pena was seen fleeing the scene on foot, changing clothes in a nearby alley. Police have reviewed video evidence from the bar confirming Dejesus-Pena firing the weapon. A warrant for his arrest was issued on September 8. Dejesus-Pena has an extensive criminal history across Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey, including a prior robbery conviction in Philadelphia that prohibits him from owning a firearm. As of the latest report, neither the suspect nor the firearm used in the shooting has been located. Investigators are urging the public to remain vigilant and provide any information that could lead to his apprehension.
