Ryan Pacheco, a 24-year-old man described as armed and dangerous, remains at large following a shooting incident outside King’s Corner bar in Mahnomen, Minnesota. Pacheco is wanted in connection with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and five additional felony counts. The incident occurred in August, resulting in two victims being hospitalized; one suffered gunshot wounds to the lower back and pelvis, while the other was shot in both knees. One victim identified the shooter as Pacheco, known by the nicknames “Sly” or “Slide.” At the time of the shooting, Pacheco was on federal probation for a prior conviction of felon-in-possession-of-a-firearm and had previous Minnesota convictions, including second-degree assault and fleeing a peace officer. He also has active warrants in other cases. Law enforcement agencies, including the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and White Earth Tribal Police Department, had conducted a localized manhunt in and around the city of Callaway. However, the ground search has now been suspended after investigators exhausted immediate leads in that specific area. Despite the suspension of the ground search, the overall manhunt for Pacheco remains active and ongoing. Authorities advise the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Residents are strongly cautioned not to approach Pacheco if seen and to call 911 immediately. Pacheco is described as having visible tattoos and was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black Jordans. The White Earth Police Department previously offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Updates regarding the search can be found on the White Earth Tribal Police Department’s Facebook page. The investigation continues as law enforcement maintains a smaller presence in the area while seeking public assistance in locating the suspect.
