Columbus police are seeking 31-year-old Samuel Lovejoy, charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting at an east Columbus gas station on May 11. The incident occurred when 48-year-old Maceo Burton was shot during what investigators describe as a robbery. Surveillance video captured two suspects, with Lovejoy identified through cell phone records placing him at the scene. Burton was pronounced dead after being taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Authorities urge anyone with information about Lovejoy’s location to contact Columbus Division of Police immediately via 911. The investigation remains active as law enforcement works to locate the at-large suspect.
