Los Angeles Police Department officers are searching for 34-year-old Jesús Sanchez, who remains at large following a high-speed pursuit and violent crimes across multiple jurisdictions. The incident began on Thursday evening around 9:17 p.m. near Elysian Park, where officers initiated a chase on suspicion of burglary. Sanchez was driving a gray Hyundai Elantra without license plates on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway. The pursuit extended into Glendale, where the suspect drove into the third floor of a parking structure at the Glendale Galleria. Following a collision within the structure, Sanchez carjacked a victim's vehicle. The victim was able to ping her cell phone, which remained inside the stolen car, providing a critical trail for law enforcement. The phone's location was tracked to the 300 block of North Pass Road in Burbank. Glendale and Burbank police officers responded to the location and successfully recovered the carjacked vehicle and the victim's cell phone, which was returned to her. Despite the recovery of the property, the suspect was not apprehended at the scene. Authorities confirm that while Sanchez's identity is known to the Los Angeles Police Department, he has not been located. The incident involved a complex chain of events starting with a burglary suspicion, escalating to a dangerous police chase, a crash, and a subsequent carjacking. Investigators are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding Sanchez's whereabouts. The case is being jointly investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Glendale Police Department, with assistance from Burbank police. No further details regarding the suspect's physical description or potential weapons have been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to locate the at-large suspect.
