The Bakersfield Police Department, in conjunction with Kern Secret Witness, is seeking the public's assistance in locating Gurinder Singh, a 32-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting. Singh is accused of murdering his coworker and extended family member, Jatinder Singh, in southeast Bakersfield on January 1, 2025. The incident reportedly stemmed from a workplace dispute that escalated into a deadly shooting. Following the attack, Singh fled the scene and has remained at large since. A warrant for his arrest on suspicion of murder was issued on February 19, 2025. Investigators believe Singh may be using a new identity or the identification of an associate to evade capture. He is considered armed and dangerous; authorities advise the public not to attempt to contact or apprehend him. Singh is described as having several distinctive tattoos, including the word "DHINDSA" on his right forearm, a Khanda symbol on his upper right arm, and an image of a semi-truck with a trailer on his left forearm. At the time of the homicide, he was employed as a commercial truck driver and held a California commercial driver’s license. Kern Secret Witness is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension of Gurinder Singh. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department or call Kern Secret Witness at (661) 322-4040. The case remains active as law enforcement continues its investigation.
