Phoenix Police are actively searching for multiple suspects following the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Damarion Goins in a residential backyard. The incident is linked to an alleged armed robbery that occurred over the weekend. According to police reports, the sequence of events began around 10 p.m. on September 12, when officers responded to a shots-fired call near the intersection of Broadway Road and 19th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle surrounded by several shell casings, which was subsequently impounded. At this scene, two women reported that they had been robbed by several unknown men. They stated that a male companion, identified later as Damarion Goins, had been with them during the robbery but left before law enforcement arrived. Approximately four hours later, at 2 a.m., police were called back to the same area after a woman discovered Goins dead in a backyard. The woman and her companion had been searching the property when they located the victim. Goins was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives, along with the Gang Unit and other investigative divisions, are currently assisting with the case. As of September 14, 2026, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the robbery or the shooting to come forward.
