The incident occurred last September at the Paddlefish restaurant, where a suspect dressed in a full scuba suit targeted the establishment after it had closed for the night. According to police deputies, the individual entered the restaurant while the manager was in the process of counting cash to deposit into a safe. The suspect proceeded to spray-paint the security cameras, presumably to disable surveillance footage, before confronting the manager and another employee. The suspect then tied up both individuals inside an office, securing them before making his escape. In a unique twist, the suspect fled the scene by jumping back into the adjacent water and swimming away. Deputies attempted to trace the suspect's path along the lakeside, but the trail ultimately ended there. Despite the passage of a full year since the crime, which resulted in the theft of approximately $10,000 in cash, law enforcement has provided no updates on the investigation.
