Folcroft police are actively searching for a male suspect accused of stealing approximately $60 from a tip jar at Leo's Steak Shop, located on Chester Pike in Folcroft, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, as the restaurant was winding down for the night. Surveillance video captured the alleged theft, showing the man reaching into the tip jar, removing cash, counting the money, and placing it into his back pocket. The owner, Steven Mullan, described the suspect's actions as blatant, bold, and brazen, noting that the theft was unusual for the establishment, which he described as feeling like a family where tips are never previously stolen. The theft was discovered when employees realized at the end of the night that there were no tips to split. Investigators are also seeking a woman who appeared to be with the suspect at the time of the crime. Although the amount stolen was relatively small, the incident has caused significant distress among the staff, as the money belonged to the employees. Employee JaQuan Quarles stated that he interacted with the man prior to the theft and was unaware that anything was wrong at the time. Customers have expressed disappointment and support for the workers, with some planning to contribute extra to the tip jar. Police have not yet identified the suspect or the woman. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identity of the individuals or their whereabouts to contact the Folcroft police department immediately to assist in the ongoing investigation.
