King County Sheriff’s detectives are actively seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted for a violent incident that occurred on a Metro bus. The suspect is accused of assaulting a female passenger and attempting to rob her. The incident took place on February 23 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Both the suspect and the victim boarded the bus at the Renton Transit Center. According to investigators, the female passenger reported that the man touched her inappropriately. In response, she took a photograph of him. The suspect then confronted the woman regarding the photo, assaulted her, and grabbed her phone. The suspect subsequently exited the bus at the intersection of Southeast 192nd Street and 108th Avenue Southeast in Kent. The case remains open as detectives work to locate the individual. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward. The public is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or call the tip line at 206-296-3311.
