The New York Police Department is actively searching for an armed suspect responsible for a series of robberies across Brooklyn neighborhoods. The individual is linked to at least three separate incidents involving the brandishing of a firearm and demands for cash. The most recent incident occurred on Tuesday night at a deli located on Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville. During this event, the suspect approached a 58-year-old employee, held a gun to him, and demanded that he place cash into a bag. The suspect fled the scene empty-handed. Prior to this, on Sunday night, the suspect allegedly attempted to rob a 56-year-old man at a deli on Union Street in Crown Heights. Police report that the suspect fired a single round at a glass window during the attempted holdup, though no individuals were struck. The first known robbery in this spree took place on Saturday night at a gas station store on Tapscott Street in Brownsville. In that incident, the suspect brandished a gun and forced a 17-year-old employee to hand over $1,000 in cash and a watch. Authorities have confirmed that none of the victims sustained physical injuries during these events. The NYPD released an image of the suspect on Thursday, noting that the individual was heavily disguised during the crimes. Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and assist in the identification and capture of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts or identity is asked to contact the NYPD. Additionally, tips can be submitted anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement works to locate the individual before further incidents occur.
