A female suspect remains at large following a multi-agency police pursuit across several Massachusetts towns on Friday afternoon. The incident began at approximately 4:00 p.m. in Somerset, where detectives and patrol officers responded to reports of potential criminal activity at a local bank. Upon attempting to stop the suspects' vehicle, the individuals fled the scene. Somerset units initially called off the pursuit due to heavy traffic on Wilbur Avenue. The vehicle then traveled into Fall River, where it passed an unmarked police unit. A detective followed the vehicle onto Route 79 until neighboring marked units could take position. A second attempt at a traffic stop resulted in the suspects fleeing again. With traffic conditions improving, units from Somerset, Fall River, Dighton, Freetown, Berkley, and the Massachusetts State Police combined efforts to pursue the vehicle. The suspects were eventually stopped by Dighton Police units in Dighton. While one male suspect is currently in custody, the female suspect remains wanted. Somerset Police Chief William Tedford stated that the female suspect is being sought for non-violent offenses and that there is no known danger to the public. Authorities have thanked the participating departments for their cooperation. More information is expected to be released once the investigation concludes. The investigating agencies include the Somerset Police Department, Fall River Police Department, Dighton Police Department, Freetown Police Department, Berkley Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police.
